Fairbairn Irrigation Network Limited (FIN) is a locally owned company managing the distribution of up to 86,000 megalitres of water from the Fairbairn Dam to our irrigation channel customers. Through an extensive irrigation supply and drainage network, FIN is responsible for the timely delivery of water for use in irrigated annual crops, horticulture, and stock and domestic supply.

Leading the operations and maintenance functions of Water3, each Water3 refill station is cashless with payments being made via PayWave or the Water3 bottle which has an embedded RFID chip in the lid. Water3 own, operate and maintain 400 standalone water dispensing Kiosks located throughout SEQ and Northern Rivers. Leading and managing a team of 49 staff and required to deliver a 30M capital works program and $21M operational budget. Key activities included efficient and effective operation and maintenance of 19 schemes (water and wastewater) including network operations, treatment operations, responsive maintenance, mechanical and electrical maintenance, customer and complaints management and incident / system fault investigation and management.

Leading and managing a team of 15 direct reports and required to deliver a 35M capital works program and $5M operational budget. Key activities included efficient and effective operation and maintenance of 20 schemes (water and wastewater) including network & treatment operations and maintenance, responsive maintenance, mechanical and electrical maintenance, end user customer and complaints management and incident / system fault investigation and management.

Responsible for operations and maintenance inclusive of process performance of WSC W&S treatment plants, operational works assessment for W&S infrastructure design, decision notice approvals, on-maintenance inspection acceptance and review of as-constructed dwg`s, development of trade waste policies, applications and charges and general customer service relating to all W&S issues.

Responsible for the process optimisation and control of Oxley Crk Biological and Nutrient Removal WWTP (60 ML/d). Oxley Crk WWTP comprises BNR technology, chemical odour scrubbing technology, thermal sludge thickening and stabilization and methane extraction for co-energy generation.

Responsible for the operations and maintenance of water and waste water treatment systems for State/Local Government and the private sector, this included high organic load industrial treatment plants and oil extraction / carbon cracking plants inclusive of domestic waste and potable water supplies.
