I built and managed the “Window of Shanghai” international outreach program in the largest public library in China from its very inception, responsible for the partnership building, publicity, and government relations thus involved. It had evolved into a signature global program over the four-year span and received worldwide recognition in the library circle. • Evaluated and strengthened relationships with existing partners and identified potential new partners overseas;• Edited program outreach, media, and websites;• Planned and executed library events, especially those closely associated with the WS program, including international biennial conferences and lectures, joint public exhibitions, and global prize competitions;• Reported to the State Council Information Office and the Shanghai Foreign Affairs office; drafted budgets, strategies, and evaluations; delivered annual presentations.• Assisted with staff exchange and foreign visits of scholars and specialists.
