Dannis is a Detroit native and has developed an extensive network of relationships in the real estate and construction community. She has worked with clients to negotiate and enforce compliance of community benefits agreements (CBAs) on projects across the country. She is the creator of the Barton Malow Boot Camp, a paid work experience and skilled trades program, focused on training women and minorities ages 18-24 across the country. The program has received national recognition from the Associated General Contractors of America, winning the AGC in the Community Award.In 2021, she worked with the Gilbert Family Foundation and Invest Detroit to launch the Motor City Contractor Fund, a contractor capacity building initiative focused on providing access to captial, mentorship and technical assistance to contractors. Dannis is a graduate of The University of Michigan and holds a bachelor’s of business administration degree in Marketing. She is a licensed commercial real estate professional and a 2023 graduate of the Cinnaire WE Build Developer Program, which provides financing and technical assistance to female developers. Previously, she has completed the Building Community Values – Better Buildings, Better Blocks Real Estate Development Program (2019) and Harvard Business School Young American Leaders Program (2017).
