Taught graduate class in "Design & Analysis of Experiments", and undergraduate classes in "Engineering Statistics" and "Technology and Society". In this role, I: - Developed new course material based including usage of Excel of PowerBI for solving statistical problems and renewable energy as they relate to technology & society. - Actively encourage students to participate during lectures and to ask for help and clarification. - Came up with new ideas on projects and group seminars to engage and evaluate student's understanding of course material and problem solving abilities.

As a researcher, I have authored 18 high-impact and peer reviewed publications in various fields including tribology, sensors, electrodes, carbon materials, filters, separators and batteries.I work with a variety of international and regional researchers and collaborators. Alberta Innovates is my primary sponsor where we work together to convert waste materials (lignin and asphaltene) into value-added materials for the Alberta economy. Lignin research is conducted with West Fraser, and asphaltene research is conducted with Suncor. I work with international collaborators in Egypt, China and Korea primarily focussed on the development of novel materials for environmental sensors, detecting pipeline leaks, and determining security risks through detecting chemical warfare agents.Within my lab, I previously acted as a laboratory manager in charge of inventory management, waste disposal, developing standard operating procedures and managing lab safety.

- Perform daily quality assurance checks on light rail vehicle fleet and Calgary transit units to ensure servicing. Update records of servicing accordingly.- Schedule maintenance with subcontractors and manage spare fleet. Observe and maintain standard of service according to contracts. - Determine cause of failure on vehicles to minimize future incidents and recommend improvements in maintenance.
