My responsibilities involved all aspects of commissioning, monitoring, servicing, and maintenance of solar locations. Each site was minimum of 1Megawatt and above. I serviced SMA, SOLECTRIA, ADVANCED ENERGY, and SOLAR-EDGE inverters. Additionally centralized inverters and SMA 20000TL- 30000TL string Inverters. I also serviced tracker systems that failed to track for various reasons. I traveled to company sites to either commission a system for the first time or to service a system due to some type of failure or production drop. This involved A/C and D/C troubleshooting on inverters. I set up networks and wired and registered low voltage monitoring equipment such as ambient, wind, irradiance, and production meters and linked to company network. I also diagnosed network failures. I spent my workday installing, repairing, replacing as well as requesting replacements equipment under warranty. I performed maintenace on my employer’s/customers equipment out in the field at customer’s sites. As the O&M''s department Technician I perform safe and skilled technical work and provided technical support to the employer and customers. My job duties as a field service technician involved a high degree in data collection using a uniformed technical wordage that were consistent and summaries of resolutions. in order to resolve various issues and perform maintenance I used devices such as Volt/Amp meter, Thermal imaging, IV curve tracer, Megger, Oscilloscope, and specific torque hardware. Additionally, I used various software's configurations to accurately define exact production loss and communication/network errors.
