Evaluate, recommend, and deploy emerging security products to ensure critical information and systems are secure. Maintain and provide vulnerability assessments across the organization. Manage forensic investigators looking for evidence of fraud, embezzlement and pornography. Furthermore, I created a security awareness program for employees to recognize social engineering attempts. I’ve also developed a threat hunting capability for use within our SOC using Snort, Bro, Kibana, and Elasticsearch, as well as evaluating and deploying Symantec Endpoint Encryption, PGP, RSA, Nexpose, Nessus, Splunk, and Encase.

Provide installations, configurations, troubleshooting, and customer assistance for approximately 700 Capitol Hosting servers to include Windows, Linux, Ubuntu, and HP_UX. Key achievements during my employment with the State of Utah include the development of Cognos servers for Data Warehouse reporting. I was also involved with the implementation of the Enterprise Backup System encompassing client coordination, setup and management of the system.

I am also responsible for reviewing emerging technologies for fit and function versus business requirements to ensure the IT portfolio of systems continues to meet the evolving needs of the organization.Key achievements during my employment with Martin Door include the development of the help desk system using JavaScript, ASP and SQL. I also lead the implementation of the security system from the selection of the system and design through transition to support. This included developing a change management approach that provided for training end users to minimize business impacts.
