Using skills learnt from my Bachelors degree, I took my performing and writing skills to the stage in Melbourne festivals, shot and produced short films and took some time to write my first novel. I worked as a video editor and in retail as I pursued these endeavors. During my many years of retail experience, I led sales initiatives, excelled in customer service and managed team members. I found myself being promoted into leadership positions and being given responsibilities and training across the businesses I worked for; such as safety leader, forklift driver/trainer, multiple product specialist and floor manager. Whilst I was working through a Future Leaders program, I discovered I was most motivated when I was teaching and training team members, this led to my return to university to pursue a Masters in Education.I will be bringing real-world experience of performing arts, writing and video producing to students in Drama, English and Media classes. I will also carry years of leadership and communication skills that will prove helpful when working with colleagues and parents.
