Drax Power Station Biomass Storage & Conveyor System.Initial responsibilities to Supervise the Infrastructure fit-out of 6No LV SubStations concurrently.Following this I moved over to the Testing team where I was responsible for a testing team to plan.co-ordinate,test & inspect and record results as part of the quality assurance program.

As a Supervisor,ANP and tester this was a challenging and rewarding upgrading of an existing university library facility which had to remain accessible to the students throughout the project.The contract was run over a number of phases which proved very awkward at times where areas had to remain live yet keeping construction areas safe places to work in.The building had to be cleared of all asbestos during the course of the works which was also another aspect which had to be respected with regards to safety.

Esso Fawley,Southampton

During my employment at the Esso Fawley oil terminal I gained the experience of making off barrier glands on lead insulated armoured cables along with containment/cabling/terminating etc

Numerous Projects

During my initial employment I was fortunate to work on a number of projects for their duration therefore experiencing all aspects of mainly commercial contracts.Contracts worked on to name but a few:-Harrogate Conference Centre,Nuffield Nursing Home Norton,Darlington Dolphin Centre,South Cleveland Hospital(James Cook),various projects on British Steel Redcar/Lackenby/Grangetown,Clarke Chapmans Newcastle,HMP Durham,Eldon Gardens Newcastle,Amersham International Little Chalfont,Borders District Hospital Melrose,Middlesbrough Law Courts.Experiences gained:- Setting out,Containment,Wiring(including PVC singles,twin & earth,MICC,FP200,Armoured cables),Glanding(of all types of cables),Terminating,Testing,Fault Finding,As Fitted drawings,Busbar Systems,Distribution Boards and Switchboards)
