I retired in December 2019 from the USDA where I served 32 years with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). I assumed the position of Economic Development Director for Greene County, MS in January 2021. I am from Greene County and received elementary and high school education from Greene County public schools. I earned higher educational degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM). I have taught classes in the area of sport management while serving as an adjunct professor at USM and Shorter University. I have experience teaching face-to-face classes as well as online classes. I also work with Southern Miss athletics where I operate the scoreboard at football games and operate the shot clock at basketball games. I enjoy involvement in mission projects in Mexico and Central America where I work to help increase educational opportunities for children who traditionally have not had such opportunities. I own a small hay farm in Greene County which occupies the remainder of my free time!!!
