Wv Green Is The New Black
WV Green is the New Black was initially created as a result of several semesters of academic research combined with the lessons of my life growing up in Appalachia, specifically in West Virginia. The goal of GITNB is to educate the people and politicians of West Virginia about the medical and economic benefits of hemp as well as medical & recreational marijuana. Through a primarily grassroots approach we work with patients & politicians to help create and develop comprehensive cannabis legislation and regulations for the state. To achieve this, we use a combination of academic and medical studies with the hope of providing easy to access information to those who want and need it. The state of WV has been ravished by an opioid epidemic as well as the collapsing coal industry. Our hope is that we can work collaboratively within the cannabis industry to help the state move forward to our ultimate goal of becoming a hub for cutting edge medical research, a leader in addiction recovery, a destination for new industry, and an example for the rest of the country.Although products were not a part of the initial plan for Green is the New Black the lack of safe, consistent, and reliable hemp based products led us to develop locally sourced, and rigorously tested products to try and fill the void created by the lack of industry regulation as well as overall product consistency. Our goals have been and will continue to be based on the needs of the people most directly impacted by the introduction and development of the hemp and cannabis industries, whether that be through political means, educational pursuits, or through the continued development and distribution of consistent reliable consumer products.
