Responsible for the coordination, scheduling, and management of aviation training resources in support of squadron flight activities. Serve as a Marine Corps Aviation Learning Management Validator in support of USMC computer-based training. Remain cognizant of all orders, directives, and correspondence affecting operations or training for eight USMC aviation platforms as well as visiting allied training activities. Coordinate training system upgrades with higher, adjacent, and civilian industry to increase effectiveness of Aviation Training System vision for multiple aviation platforms.
Ensure compliance with all directives, safety regulations, and maintenance manuals to increase efficacy of limited personnel and maintenance assets. Oversee weekly training evolutions for the maintenance department as well as initial and recurring training for all functional check pilots. Conduct interviews and recommend, when warranted, all prospective personnel seeking higher maintainer qualifications.

Responsible for the management of the squadron's/Marine Aviation Group's Aviation Safety Plan. This includes initial response training for all personnel as well as role specific training for all members of the Safety Board. Training occurs monthly and mishap scenario drills occur quarterly. Additionally responsible for investigation of all design, material, process, or leadership change recommendations from higher headquarters and squadron members and the ensuing actions.Hurricane Katrina support responsible for surveying airfields and training civilian personnel to support military airlift response; coordinated between DoD, federal, and civilian aviation organizations to establish and disseminate air space flight procedures, operating parameters and rescue sites.Serve as Instructor for CH-46 Sea Knight, MV-22 Osprey, crew resource management, operational risk management, pre-hospital trauma life support, basic cardiac life support/AED instructor and EMT functions.
