My job duties included booking the suspects, bagging and tagging evidence, sending evidence to the company crime lab, maintaining the chain of custody for all physical evidence, testifying in court, providing security for the company merchandise and money, investigating employees and customers suspected of refund fraud, apprehending shoplifters, identify and apprehend shoplifters operating in large groups or gangs. Setting up surveillance operations, and other general security procedures including the installation of all surveillance cameras and camera equipment used to detect and identify potential criminals and acts of criminal on company property. I used websites and other equipment to locate and identify the unknown fraud suspects. I also developed the company policies and procedures manual for evidence collection in our fraud cases.
