As a Document and Evidence Management Officer with the Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry I assist the team in handling document the inquiry receives. Part of that process includes a First Stage Review where documents are sifted and sorted into categories. Latterly I have been involved in a small team providing Quality Control and Assurance across all Document and Evidence Management (DEM) functions. As part of the QCA team I rewrote guidance manuals for various DEM functions, including the QA process itself. I have also been involved in a timeline project piece of work, which involved mapping over 1,000 events in specialist software with filterable categories to help the Legal Team further develop their work within the inquiry. I trained members of the inquiry staff on how to use software which is used to show documents and evidence at the hearings, this involved working closely with our external inquiry colleagues to produce a fit a proper training session and then taking a lead on delivering the training sessions.

I led a team of admin staff delivering a high quality of administrative care to members of the public coming to receive their COVID-19 Vaccine. Managing the roster, HR & ER for a team of 20/30 members of the admin team at a single vaccination centre. Latterly being a team lead for 2 vaccination centres.

I managed the supply of PPE for the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh on a emergency transfer from the finance department to help at the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic which lasted 11 months.

As a Finance Travel Assistant, I assist to deliver a professional customer service department which serves customer Travel and Conference requirements across NHS Lothian. Responsible for the Purchasing Card payments engaging with Procurement Edinburgh & Lothian Health Foundation and other finance teams to ensure a high standard of delivery of an effective and efficient service whilst complying with Standing Financial Instructions and vat legislation.

As Acting Data Manager, I have ensured cost efficiency of the service by analysing patient usage of clotting factors on a month by month basis, which has enabled me to accurate reconcile information on clotting factor stock and values to project future usage. Each month the ECS Haemophilia Centres send their factor usage data, which needs to be consolidated from 4 sets of statistical data to a single piece of data which National Services Division & NHS Lothian’s Finance Department require every month. I also have a responsibility for co-coordinating the supply and storage of coagulation factor concentrates for Haemophilia & Thrombosis Centre and other Haemophilia Centres within the East Coast of Scotland including any outlining hospitals not just in Lothian but further afield.
