Responsible for the tactical operational oversight in the event of an intentional orunintentional release of a Hazardous Material or a Weapon of Mass Destruction. Develops plans, resources and execution of unit training and operations. Develops and refines garrison and tactical Standing Operating Guidance (SOGs). Coordinates and interfaces with hazardous materials teams, first responders and officials from local, state, and federal agencies. Serves as the state Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear officer.

Responsible for leading, training and resourcing of a 125 person Mechanized Infantry Company.

Responsible for the recruitment of Officers from ROTC, OCS and other commissioning sources into the North Carolina National Guard. Managed officer accessions processes as well as conduct of future vacancy analysis in order to maintain the strength of the Officer Corp within the NCNG

Serves as the lead planner and coordinator for all joint interagency training and exercises for the NC National Guard in the areas of Domestic operations, Continuity of Operations, Cyber threat and Chemical/Biological/Radiological response activities. Responsible for coordinating and maintaining a training schedule to facilitate core competencies in Defense Support to Civil Authorities. Also serves as the Joint Staffs liaison to the NC Emergency Operations Center and the State Emergency Response Team.

Managed and coordinated all planning and logistics for the NORTHCOM hosted NC Vigilant Guard Exercise. Vigilant Guard exercised the National Guards ability to interoperate with local, state, and federal emergency management partners as well as federal law enforcement and other government agencies and non-government organizations. Managed product development and support from other JFHQ staff sections. Managed in progress review schedules and topics to ensure continual exercise improvement. Developed and managed training schedules and objectives with all individual units participating to ensure each unit met their goals. This exercise also served as a National Guard mission rehearsal and Joint Task Force training for the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte NC Sept 2012. Additionally participated in planning for all state internal exercises (Hurricane Exercise, Continuity of Operations Exercise, Cyber Threat Exercise)..

Responsible for managing a portfolio of 32 Major national and international Corporations totaling $1.2B. Performed all tasks associated with fulfilling revolving credit agreements with clients and managing the needs and information flow to non-host bank lenders. Managed expectations of corporate CEO and CFO’s in order to ensure accurate and timely wire delivery of requested funds.

Performed ballistic testing and evaluation on all types of personal body armor, contributing to both research and development (R&D) and quality control.
