Graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1968. Flew over 300 fighter combat missions in Vietnam, F-100, and Korat, A-7D. Spent 3 years as Ranger ALO at Fort Lewis to get an F-16. In 1978, assigned to Hill writing the Air to Ground manual for the F-16...bummer… Joined Air Force Reserve in 1979 to get back in the cockpit, 300 hours in the F-105 and over 1000 in the F-16. Worked for TRW in the early 1980s including 2 years in Landsburg Germany working F-4F avionics. Started a small business, MicroLAN Enterprises, in 1983 (with Chip Taylor!), winning contracts with the US Air Force. Won Gunsmoke '87 and returned to active duty with the Reserve in 1988. Managed Reserve F-16 programs to upgrade aircraft creating high demand for Reserve forces, AIMGUNS (funnel), Radar Altimeter, Digital Terrain System (DTS), EW Integration, night lighting, Targeting Pod. ICAF in 1995 and back to Reserve duty in 1996 assigned to Edwards as MA to the Commander. Last AF flight…first glider…with Jimmy Doolittle the 3rd in the back seat. Retired in 1998. Resumed business as Hamilton International providing consulting services to aviation programs from 1996 to 2002, primarily DTS and Digital Video Recording. Joined Lockheed Martin in 2002 to 2007 working the UAE F-16 Block 60 program. I restarted my business as The Hamilton Group, working on consulting, training, and vehicle management. Married Jan after graduation, Patti during A-7D combat ops, Terry after Gunsmoke, and Karin at Lockheed. Bought an RV in 2014 and married Xiurong Huang (Angie) in Las Vegas. Bought a house in North Las Vegas and "retired"! Update: Since my Covid "Booster" in Dec 2021, I've had 5 seizures that have taken a lot of memories. Finding this post helped. Aug 2002 ­ Aug 2007Provided support to the Deputy Director for Customer Integration on; UAE). Duties included integrating the customer into program development and testing activities, developing training materials for aircraft systems; providing training to the customer; scheduling and monitoring customer participation; verifying completion of contract requirements; and providing expertise to gain customer acceptance that program requirements were met. Extensiveamount of time spent in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Activities included participation in customer acceptance activities, aircraft software releases, and monitoring flight operations in UAE to identify and document customer concerns. Provided in-country support as Program Product Lead for Operational Debriefing System (ODS) and Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI). Recognition: Numerous special payment awards, member of the 2005 Aero Star Awards' F-16 Block 60 Development Acceptance Team.

Provided technical support for aircraft avionics programs. Specialized in team building,systems engineering, pilot vehicle interface (PVI), and flight test support. Majorprograms included: successful integration, flight test, and installation of the DigitalTerrain System (DTS) on the Mirage aircraft in UAE; PVI for integration of the DTS onthe UAE Hawk aircraft; and integration and flight test of the Digital Video Recorder onF-16, F-15, and Harrier aircraft.

1997-1998: Mobilization Assistant (MA) to the Commander of the Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. Served as assistant to Commander in all matters. Managed the Reserve Individual Mobility Assistant (IMA) program of over 160 individuals. Retired June 1998. 1996-1997: Senior Reserve Advisor and Mobilization Assistant to the Air Force’s Director of Global Power Programs (SAF/AQP), Pentagon, DC. Provided advice and assistance to the Director and key staff on matters pertaining to Air Force Reserve Forces. 1988-1996: Chief, F-16 Requirements Office (AFRES). Responsible for ensuring F-16 programs met user needs. Assisted in development, funding, and execution of programs with expenditures of $10 million each year. Developed and managed successful execution of Reserve specific programs including EEGS, Digital Terrain System, PC Mission Planning, Electronic Technical Orders, Modular Avionics, Integrated Electronic Warfare, and Quick Reaction Instrumentation Pod. Served as the Air Force Reserve representative to F-16 Multi-National Fighter Program’s (MNFP) Operational Sub-committee and Steering Committee. 1979-1988: Reserve Pilot. Reserve representative to F-16 MNFP User's Group, US Air Force’s Top F-16 Pilot and Overall Top Gun in the "Gunsmoke '87" competition.

Provided consulting support in the form of operations research for major aircraft corporations. Provided flight test support for F-4 logistics programs at the Air Force's Logistics Center to include flight test planning, development of flight test profiles, and support of Flight Safety Boards. Average sales of $250,000 a year. Interest sold in 1988 to return to active duty.
