From a very young age, I was interested in computers. I built computers by myself and developed the skills to be self-sufficient and learn on my own. Family and friends have often sought my advice when it comes to computers and IT-related tasks. Since the age of 10, I have spent summers in Chicago at the Science Institute of Columbia College Chicago. There they conducted workshops for teachers and parents from underprivileged communities. During these workshops, I assisted teachers and parents with various elements of the projects they were undertaking. As a part-time student at DePaul University, I took multiple classes in computer science and was always ready to help my fellow classmates. For the last seven years, I have been the webmaster for the Malta Conferences Foundation (MCF), a non-profit that uses science diplomacy as a bridge to peace in the Middle East. From 2017 to 2018, I was asked to serve as the special assistant to the President of MCF. In that position, I handled correspondence with scientists from across the Middle East and was responsible for all IT-related tasks. I enjoy traveling, music, learning about different cultures, languages, and cuisines, and speak conversational Korean.
