Technical support for the Ford Business Unit

Primary responsibilities were to be technical field support for the Ford DesignEngineering Group vehicle launch programs, such as the U152 Ford Explorer and theU231 Lincoln Aviator. This involved working at the customer site, Ford New ModelProduct Development Center which is located; My role there wasto rework harnesses on the breadboards, build additional harnesses as required, and totroubleshoot vehicles for any electrical issues. Maintain records of reworks performed,and of any quality or design issues found.

Job duties involved assembly of prototype wire harnesses from engineering prints for theautomotive industry for OEMs such as Ford Motor Company, Chrysler, and GeneralMotors. Additional responsibilities were the fabrication of circuits, soldering, andoperating various types of equipment for crimping, wire cutting, splicing.

Responsible for leading pre-production build events at customer vehicle assemblylocations. Compile build book for prototype phases, including harness drawings,schematics, device transmittals, build schedule, parts list, and customer strip list.Troubleshoot vehicles for no start, and functional problems.
