Director of Golf Course Development for the Mission Hills Golf Club - at that time THE FIRST 72HOLE GOLF CLUB IN CHINA - which boasted championship designs by Jack Nicklaus, Jumbo Ozaki, and Sir Nick Faldo.In cooperation with fellow Executive Committee members I helped, plan, compile, and implement the Company standards, policies, and procedures, to be made available to all employees through training and orientation, for their understanding, compliance, and feedback.I was responsible for all Department Heads and the works to be carried out by them to ensure that the Golf Courses and Grounds at Mission Hills Resort were consistently presented in world-class condition. Responsible for the preparation of the golf courses for tournaments. Under my guidance, Mission Hills Golf Club hosted the Johnnie Walker Super Tour, the Volvo Asian Matchplay, and the China Amateur Open.

Corporate Department Director - Golf Development for both the Banyan Tree Bintan Golf Club in Indonesia, and the Banyan Tree Phuket Golf Club in Thailand ( now re-named Laguna Phuket Golf Club and Laguna Bintan Golf Club)Responsible to the V.P. of Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts to structure the Operational and Capital Improvements Budgets for the respective golf courses. Identify and hire Golf Course Superintendents for the respective properties.Responsible for the Golf Course Superintendents functions at two 18-holes Resort Golf Clubs.Liase with the respective General Managers to ensure that their Golf Courses are being maintained to a suitable standard.Ensure that the respective golf course maintenance departments are operating efficiently, and within the approved budget. Direct the project planning and development of all new golf course facilities.

Owners Site Representative/ Golf Course Construction Manager at the Greg Norman designed Banyan Tree Club- Bintan golf course construction project.In coordination with the contractor and their nominated sub- contractors, plan and supervise the golf course construction works to see that the project is completed within the agreed schedule.Control the terms and conditions and working specifications within the golf course construction contract on behalf of and for the exclusive benefit of the Owner.Plan, administrate, and control bi-weekly site meetings between the golf course contractor and their nominated sub-contractors.Submit monthly reports outlining works completed to date and project updated schedules.In conjunction with the Landscape Architect, design, select plants and implement the golf course landscape works.Recruit, train, and directly supervise the golf course maintenance crew for the grow-in phase of the project.Establish a budget and manning guideline for the grow-in phase of the golf course.Assist to plan and supervise the construction of the golf maintenance facility, golf cart shed, rest house, and irrigation pump house with the projects building architect.Select and recommend the golf course equipment necessary to maintain the golf course during the grow-in and operation phase of the project.

Golf Course Superintendent at the 18 Hole Max Wexler/David Abell designed Banyan Tree Golf Club Phuket, which is part of the ‘Laguna Phuket Resort’, Asia’s first fully integrated resort.Directed all course operations including a staff of 36, maintenance programmes, budgets, expenditures and the detailed administration thereof.Presented detailed monthly operational and financial reports to both company Regional Director and the General Manager.Planned, designed and controlled the construction of tees, bunkers, pathways, landscaped gardens, and grass nursery as part of capital improvements.Responsible to the company Regional Director to structure the operational and capital improvements budgets.

Golf Course Superintendent at the 27-Hole Dye Design Khao Kheow Country Club.Supervised the construction of greens, tees and bunkers to U.S.G.A. specifications.Prepared budgets and reports during both the grow-in and operation phase of golf course.Participated in the interviewing, hiring, technical training and motivation of 130 employees.Liaison between golf course operations and Board of Directors.
