• Wrote procedure and directed, with M&M Engineering assistance, the chemical clean of JTEC1 boiler.• Added tri-sodium phosphate to the JTEC2 boiler chemistry program, against resistance, to establish a buffer in case of a low pH chloride attack due to a condenser tube leak.• Established new lab position, (Laboratory Analyst) wrote job description, job requirements, posted job and interviewed candidates and participated in selection and hiring of what is now a key position in the lab. • Attended the International Water Conference with Dave Daniels.• Took many power station chemistry courses and studied water chemistry continually to improve my knowledge of lab responsibilities as well as the latest techniques and chemicals to improve lab performance.• Installed a cation conductivity meter off JTEC2 boiler drum, enabling plant personnel to recognize a tube leak or other event much faster.• Counseled lab personnel to improve morale and work ethic. Had a lot of success but also documented failures so that future supervisor could move forward with the handling of personnel issues.• Renewed chemical contract with Nalco for 2016.
