Full-time Assistant Coaching role for 18months at HMS Nelson with the RNRMBA. The team consisted of Elite and development boxers both male and female 15-30 boxers. Who competed weekly in the UK and overseas while full-time training. My role as an assistant was to implement planned training cycles which consisted of • Track/CV sessions.• Strength and conditioning sessions.• Boxing Technique and skill sessions.• Effective and safe weight loss strategies. • 1 to 1 pad coaching sessions.• Sparing sessions. All to improve the boxer’s ability and competition results.I was also tasked as the Royal Navy’s Female Boxing Team Head Coach, I was responsible for the competition training cycle, day to day management and facilitation of coaching sessions for in excess of 15 female boxers, some of whom outranked me significantly. Nevertheless, I worked unsupervised creating logical timescales, utilising spare capacity and initiative to successfully plan and deliver the RN’s first ever all female boxing show which took place at HMS Temeraire in March 2019, receiving several plaudits up to 2-star level.
