During the time working as a Community Ambassador I have focused on building relationships between businesses and communities within the Wakefield District.

During my time working as a Street Marshall I have worked with the public and supported businesses during the Covid-19 Pandemic. My main tasks were to advise the public and businesses on current Covid-19 guidelines. Making sure that the high streets we able to open safely and report back to my line manager/contact center. Work alongside PCSO's and Environmental Health with the aim to keep the public and retail staff safe.

I am able to work within a team and on my own to make sure the cleanliness of The Ridings is at a high standard, follow all policies and procedures including COSHH and Health and safety legislation. Daily tasks include such duties as a regular check of the malls and toilets and making sure these are clean and safe, sweeping outside entrances and making sure any spillages are mopped/cleaned in a timely manner. Making sure that glass, escalators, doors/door handles, lifts and stairs are clean and checked throughout the day. Along with these tasks I am able to provide a high standard of customer service and help with directions within the centre and local area and the facilities and services that are provided by The Ridings. I can complete deep cleans using equipment such as Pro 40 and using an oscillator. Along with this, I am able to support other staff I am working with. I can use a wide range of equipment and able to use any personal protective equipment correctly and when required.Enhanced frequency cleaning and enhanced deep cleaning and sanitising due to Covid-19.

At Calsa Care I worked as part of a team and lead a team to support individuals with personal cares, moving and handling and considering their needs and preferences. I assisted residents in areas of everyday life such as eating and drinking. Along with this I completed all relevant paperwork and documents throughout the nightDuring this time, I administered medication in a safe way following policies and guidelines from the home and outside agencies. I am also able to dispose and destroy medication in the correct way. I have been able to assess residents when an emergency has occurred such as giving first aid and completing observations, liaising with district nurses, nursing staff and paramedics.
