Structural Designer / Engineering Quality & Manufacturability

Job duties and responsibilities:-Takes direction and performs all functions assigned by the Superintendent, informs of problems, communicates solutions.-Promotes safety, company policies, strives to be cooperative and pleasant, and satisfies residents and subcontractors. -Assists Superintendent to achieve or shorten project schedule, adjusting work schedule as required.-Supervises subcontractors to complete work on unit interiors or building exteriors on schedule. -Organizes and coordinates necessary field construction activities, motivates and encourages building excellence.-Directs subcontractors, material suppliers, vendors, inspection agencies maintaining high quality installations.-Maintains efficient production, proper project completion and profitability, meets deadlines and schedules.-Proactively reduces and resolves problems and disputes, supervises to eliminate potential cost impacts and risks.-Supervise subcontractor performance. Motivates subcontractors to reduce punch work and provide excellent performance.-Substantially minimizes owner punch lists and goes above and beyond the call of duty regarding customer service.-Reviews subcontractor daily reports and materials and imposes consistent work completions from daily job walks.-Assists Superintendent with material storage, equipment, staging areas, keeping a clean and safe work environment.-Continually upholds build-ability, project execution and assures acceptable work flow and smooth running project.-Assists Superintendent with any problem solving assigned relating to jobsite issues. Properly maintain jobsite documentation.-Takes direction from Superintendent and gets along with all field personnel and assists in client relations.

 Pre-qualified subcontractors and evaluate all bid proposals. Managed multiple, 8 per week simultaneous estimation projects with consistent on-timedelivery. Maintained database of construction estimates and final costs. Received and evaluated bids from subcontractors. Monitored ongoing construction costs. Analyzed project scope documents to create accurate cost estimates. Drafted reports and spreadsheets for management. Assisted project managers in finding cost-effective solutions.
