Part of a large student engineering team where we design and hand manufacture two formula style open wheel cars to race at competition. Duties include optimizing the gear ratio for the electric car by designing my own part and manufacturing it for use. The project includes bi-weekly team report outs and much inter-team collaboration. The project extensively uses Siemens NX CAM and Abaqus FEA for design validation and manufacturing on our CNC Hurco mill.

Analyzes data using ROOT for the QWeak experiment to measure the weak force interaction between an electron and a proton using an accelerated electron beam from Jefferson Lab.

Primarily aided in the repair of GE and Rolls Royce gas turbine engines onboard cruisers and destroyers in port at Naval Station Norfolk and helped to troubleshoot and fix other various ailments on the ships.Designed a tool using Inventor intended to help safely lift a GE LM2500 Gas Turbine engine that was first 3D printed for fit and then machined for use. All stages of the engineering process from design to manufacture were handled by myself with consultation of a professional engineer.Participated in a design team for a new tachometer for the LM2500 primarily handling the drafting of the gearbox for machining.Helped to facilitate the adoption of 3D printed parts and 3D printers at Norfolk Naval Base and across the Navy.
