What started out for Danny Zimmern, President of Pensacola's Mardi Gras and Pensacola native and entrepreneur, as a group of friends helping to line up floats on parade day, quickly became a love and passion for expanding Pensacola's Mardi Gras Season.Danny, his team, and countless Krewe members and volunteers' dedication has, over the years, watched the incredible transformation, both in the economic growth and community involvement for the City of Pensacola and Pensacola's Mardi Gras. Danny loves telling, with great pride, Pensacola’s Mardi Gras history, the lives this event has touched and the incredible economic boost the city has seen. Starting in the late 90’s with only around 20 Krewes, who only participated over one weekend, under Danny’s leadership has seen growth to todays over 90 Krewes who make up the incredible 6-to-8-week Mardi Gras Season. The Parades, Galas and Celebrations that take place during Pensacola’s Mardi Gras events and related activities generates 10's of millions of dollars in revenue for the City of Pensacola and the surrounding communities.As Pensacola’s Mardi Gras Krewes have grown in sheer numbers, Krewe membership in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties have grown to over 6000. Those 6000+ Krewe members are made up of the communities most active and generous individuals, not just from a socially fun perspective, but these Krewe members are exceptionally driven in their passion to lift the community up by contributing to virtually all non-profits that are active in the Panhandle of Florida. Having such diverse groups in the surrounding Escambia and Santa Rosa County areas, means it is natural to hear about the contributions by members of the Mardi Gras’ Society of Krewes who touch the lives of literally all non-profit groups along Florida’s Gulf Coast.For over 25 years, Danny Zimmern’s leadership guiding the direction of Pensacola’s Mardi Gras, has shown that his efforts are also evident in Pensacola’s growth, jobs and business.

Danny Zimmern's role as a Commercial Real Estate Broker, began in the 1990’s when he joined Jim Scoggins III in his Real Estate Company Scoggins Real Estate.
