Founded by a student-tutor partnership, we created the foundations of a great city centre Digital Marketing Agency. Founded in Rochdale, growing to King Street in central Manchester, and specially selected for Google's Elevator Programme. In the early days we created some fantastic new brands, and as we grew so did our team and the brands we got used to dealing with, including: Provident Financial Group, Movado, Naturelly, Mister Maker, Her Majesty's Government, and more. We also provided training sessions co-hosted with Google, GM Business Growth Hub, Rochdale Development Agency, and Enterprise Nation.

Amongst other projects focusing on the marketing systems of the business, I looked after development and delivery of an internal application to streamline operations of the estimating department, known as Estimate Engine. As estimating is key part of the marketing function in the steel industry, my years of experience at Eiffel Steelworks enabled me to quickly devise a strategy and build a working proof of concept for the Estimate Engine app. This MVP was used as a framework for software teams in India to continue development once I had left the organisation.In addition, I worked closely with the marketing manager to evolve the branding of the company which is now being utilised worldwide and across the entire group. Whilst also consulting on the digital strategy of the business’ many sub-divisions.

Kiko is now part of the foundation of Knights Digital. Started at 19 in a back bedroom alongside University and a full-time job leading the marketing and IT functions at Eiffel Steelworks, the expertise and experiences had fuelled my passion for business and marketing.Slow and steady growth over the years of delivering high-quality web experiences and digital marketing strategies to other SMEs was the proof of concept needed to take the plunge, and say goodbye to the stability and guaranteed income of employed life.Two agencies, and a decade later, we still work with some of our earliest clients who have stuck with my companies through many evolutions, and years in business.

I was head of design and delivery of a suite of web applications, sites, and strategy to streamline the operations and communications of the business, both internally and client facing.As part of a lean management team, I was lead in developing the digital strategy for the business from both a marketing and operational perspective. Part of the challenge was integrating our UK marketing with group efforts from our sister companies across Europe, the Eiffage group.Starting with simple tasks as a proof of concepts; such as news bulletins and client relationship management, we moved on to estimating, project and production management and tracking, staff time tracking, HR and some accounting functions. Then developing customer journeys through to internal systems from public facing strategies both online and offline.Marketing in the steel industry is a very niche scope compared to other sectors. Utilising a unique approach tied in closely with the estimating and pitching process, we were able to deliver digital campaigns alongside our traditional efforts with great success.Along with steering marketing communications, I also managed all technical infrastructure of the company. A varied role, from managing networks, maintaining servers, backups, technical ISO 9001 compliance, heavy machinery maintenance, and end-user support to digital and marketing strategy, marketing deliverables, and more.

After a successful work experience in High School, I was offered a position at Currys to work alongside my college education. I used my technical knowledge in consumer electronics to advise customers on buying the correct products for their needs.Part of my job was to maintain merchandising and staff expertise on the Camera and Digital Audio department. I enjoyed my time at Currys, as I worked as part of an influential team which shaped my customer service skills, large scale retail marketing and merchandising knowledge, and improved my confidence in dealing with the general public.

Helped out with various tasks around the store, but mainly in the produce department. Ensuring proper health and safety laws where adhered to when carrying out any tasks, and enforcing a proper stock rotation regime. This short placement was to fill in a break in employment with Currys between a seasonal and permanent position.
