At Command Health I am the Principal Mobile Software Engineer responsible for designing, programming and maintenance of our CH Mobile application for iOS/Android. Also engineered Command Health’s Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) program that allows the platform to manage and route inbound Hospital patient data. Also work on interoperability between a multitude of platforms from HL7 based, file based, APIs to IoT devices and more. These interfaces allow communication with Genomic Labs, EMRs, Clinical/Pathology Labs, Hospitals, PACS and hardware devices. At gMed I was the Lead Interface Developer creating and managing an array of interfaces to Practice Management systems, Labs, Hospitals and various platforms. Had the privilege of managing two developers turning the interface backlog into a quick turnaround. I wrote the gGastro (version 4x) interface allowing the system to interface with any HL7 vendor using predefined mappings. While at gMed I also wrote the back end piece to integrate the Patient Portal (gPortal) allowing patient schedules and messages to sync with the platform. Had the opportunity to fly out to a VA hospital in Chicago and integrate VistA (Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture) with the platform. At MedStar I was a developer on the Medical Transcription module. I worked on integrating a scanning solution to import scanned superbills into the Practice Mangement system. Created a network software update application to facilitate the update of the client-server applications. Also worked on the in-house CRM and Billing application.
