I am an experienced culture change leader, an IT director, product manager, programmer, and application architect. I have over 25 years of experience managing and developing complex technical projects and working with the people those projects support.I began my career working with foundations and nonprofits to support their web communication needs with custom content management solutions for public sites and extranets. I then brought those skills to a higher education environment, where I took the largest college at a state university from the wild west of let-the-intern-do-it web management into a new world of cohesive, shared, distributed, cloud-hosted content management. I’ve led university-wide projects on data governance, technical support for diversity, equity and inclusion, and institution-wide content management. I’ve built and trained and led and championed.From content management to budget tracking, from data governance to multi-story media walls… whatever the project has been, no matter how much it focused on software or hardware or the policies around using them, technology has never been the point or the purpose. The task has always been to figure out what people need, which is often different from what they think they need, then to find the solutions that meet those needs and help people use those solutions.
