I am currently with Red Hat, doing what I love as a Learning Experience Coach; I facilitate sales workshops, honing the skills of our field sales teams. I joined Red Hat from Veritas, where I was the Regional Product Manager, supporting the common company goal of increasing market share and growing revenue by connecting sales with an arsenal of specialised tools and expertise available to remove barriers to success. Before that, I was the Chief of Staff to the CEO of Acronis. Bulk of my professional life though, I was with Microsoft; over 16 years I lived (and learned) in 4 different countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, and Vietnam), in a variety of roles covering leadership, sales, marketing, channel management, strategy, and operations. I was also fortunate enough to have been the #2 man in 3 subsidiaries where I managed the subsidiary P&L as well as ran end-to-end operations.My love for IT started when I was hired by Ingram Micro in the 90's as part of the pioneer team in Singapore. I gained a reputation as a problem-solver and built a solid track record in the IT industry. I am a true believer in developing high-performing teams, holding myself (and others) accountable for results, and always putting our customers and partners first. A geek at heart, I love technology. At the same time, I am passionate about and helping others “connect the dots" and finding that “aha” moment. I have been frequently called upon by others to help them think through difficult challenges and also to help land, execute, and operationalize initiatives. I hold firmly to the philosophy of “true humility”; while I am confident about my skills and abilities, I believe there will always be much for me to learn from others.Personally, I am always curious, and find solace in a good book. When I am outdoors, I am usually underwater and am a certified PADI divemaster.
