Until there is a world without cancer, we avoid, fight and mitigate the disease. We also put our expertise to work for better policies around cancer. To do all this, we mobilise as many people as possible to join us in the fight against cancer.

Bird protection in Belgium has existed since 1922. In fact, the Royal Belgian Bird Protection Association (KBVBV) is the oldest national nature protection association. The association has had many successes over the years and has built up an impressive record of achievements: from actions in the field, complaints to the public prosecutor's offices, civil party actions and interventions to the Council of State and the European Commission. For decades, Bird Protection Flanders has been raising awareness among hundreds of thousands of citizens and actively supports the shelters for birds and wild animals (VOC).

The Bond Beter Leefmilieu (Federation for a Better Environment) is the pluralistic and independent federation of more than 140 national and local associations involved in nature and the environment in Flanders, Belgium. Working from civil society, we are committed to an affluent nature and a diverse landscape, a green and healthy living environment in both countryside and city, and production and consumption patterns with consideration for the capacity of our earth. BBL works from the following vision to sustainable development: fair distribution of prosperity and environmental usage space, in Flanders and elsewhere, now and in the future. Our operation is directed at supporting and assisting our associations, at influencing policies of government and societal organisations, and at sustaining behaviour of the broad public and target groups.
