Lead Year One SOX Efforts

 Main responsibilities include documentation, creation of risk matrices and testing related to compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 for Tyler Technologies, a multi division, multi-location publicly-traded company.  Created Internal Audit Charter and all current documentation and reporting processes related to Internal Audit.  Standardized numerous key processes over 7 divisions in order to facilitate testing of processes. Reduced compliance costs of Sarbanes from in excess of two million dollars in 2004 (including external auditors and consultants and internal costs) to less than $800,000 in 2005.  Negotiated shipping and office supply contracts that will save approximately 30% on a total spend of one million dollars annually. Extensive knowledge related to software revenue recognition (SOP 97-2) Developed innovative audit approach currently in use at Tyler in addition to analysis of AS5 that reduced SOX hours over 25%.
