At Integrated Digital Solutions I worked on contracts with DIRECTV while they launched their streaming television platform. I participated in a "war room" to help discover the cause of unexpected user errors. During that time, I regularly presented to executives all the way up to the C-suite. I developed data queries that set the gold standard for telemetrics to evaluate our progress.I also helped develop unique monitoring tools to evaluate the health/status of streaming channels and added features to existing software to improve ADA compliance. I developed a strong understanding of HLS and MPEG-DASH ABRE streaming formats.

At Galvanize, I learned how to navigate a huge suite of machine learning methods and data science techniques. We covered topics from NLP to distributed file systems. This course culminated with a capstone project, where I used a variety of classifiers to build a model that predicts whether a sex offender would violate the requirements of their registration. We also completed a number of case studies in which we practiced fraud detection and built recommender engines.
