I am excited to launch my latest project, Oakapple Community Farm, which is a not-for-private-profit Co-op. We're a community farm reconnecting people with nature, themselves, and others. We are converting 11 acres of land into an organic food farm, learning centre & health & wellbeing centre that is focused on permaculture principles & regenerative agriculture. We are currently trying to create a space where people and nature can interact regeneratively and productively through sustainable land based skills and systems. At the same time providing people with a space to be in nature, for their physical health, mental health and for healthy social interaction. We are living through a time where access to land is very limited and access to communities of like minded people can be limited too. The link between natural spaces and health is becoming clearer and clearer. In addition to a healthy social environment where people can develop real connections. We hope to demonstrate where all our food comes from and what natural systems we are interdependent with as humans. Hopefully visitors can come away with a new found appreciation for, and understanding of the natural world we live in and how we can live in it sustainably as humans without extracting our living from our habitat. At the same time making some friends.
