I’m a Service Leader for American Fire Protection Group. AFPG is an industry leader in job-site, vehicle and product safety, we balance fire protection goals and design standards to complete projects on time and within budget. Our companies provide comprehensive support throughout every step of the process.As Service Leader I am involved in the scheduling, billing, project management and field technical support for all service and day work jobs for both Sprinkler and Alarm & Detection. In my department we are involved with systems ranging from a basic wet system, pre-action system, dry systems, quell system to nitrogen generators. I have a crew working at AT&T Data center to include the 911 dispatch servers for the metroplex. We also installed the nitrogen generator and pre-action systems atDigital Realty, a vertical turbine fire pump at Raytheon and Quell systems at Millard.I am also involved with overseeing projects at Baylor Hospital and Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. As Service Leader I am also involved with safety audits and inhouse training. We curently have six two men crews for the Sprinklers side and thirteen Alarm tech's in the service department as well as eight salesman. I have over thirty years of experience in the fire protection industry.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

I have personal installed systems ranging from wet systems, dry systems, pre-action systems, quell systems and nitrogen system. I have installed electric vertical and horizontal fire pumps as well as diesel fire pumps. I was involved in projects ranging from a warehouse, hospital, high rises, office building, schools to freezer storage. Installing plastic, steel, grooved and threaded pipes. Some of the projects I was involved in overseeing Tarrant County Law, Hammon Tower, Roma Foods, Rosewood High-Rise, Square D Distribution Warehouse and Raytheon Warehouse. As a foreman at Mutual the majority of the jobs that I was involved with were take overs, it may have been caused by a foreman quitting, got fired or just could not handle the project. I over seen crews ranging from two men to fifteen men depending on the project size.

Garland

At Highland as a foreman my main job was day work and service. All of the projects except a couple were remodels, add and relocate type work. I did do a seven story building at Longview Regional while with Highland. I was also the serviceman, taking care of the repair work that came in. Some of the repairs I was involved with was rebuilding valves of all types and brands. I also repaired fire pumps such as repacking replacing motors and realigning the impellers.

Arlington

At Texas Sprinkler I did most all their jobs that required detail. Most of the other foreman was warehouse type foreman. I oversee the schools and specialty project such as RL Turner, Newman Smith and Buckner Children’s Home. I was also involved with the Ben E Keith Distribution Warehouse in Fort Worth. Ben E Keith had about nineteen pre-action systems a couple of dry system and a wet.

Garland

As superintendent I was in charge of scheduling, project management, and the fab shop as well as the service department. I was also the salesman for the service department bidding on day works and service. Fireguard has work all over the state of Texas giving me the opportunity to interact with Fire Marshalls all around the state. Fireguard had a small fab shop that I also ran, I ordered material’s, scheduled deliveries and overseen the welder and labors. At Fireguard I was give the opportunity to take many courses and classes to include, AFSA Basic Design course, a NFPA 13 & 25 course, a CEU course in Plan Review and Hydraulics’ as well as OSHA 30hour.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

As a foreman at Dallas Fire protection I got the opportunity to install a foam system at the DEA Hanger at Alliance Airport, which have three electric fire pumps inline, one primary with two back up pumps. But my primary job was service and inspection. I got the opportunity to do a lot of underground repair at LTV in Grand Prairie. I also did a lot of inspection at Dallas Fire protection this was before the licensing came in. This gave me a chance learn a lot about codes and sprinkler components. I enjoyed it a lot I got to learn about resetting different type of valves, how different types of sprinklerheads had different spray patterns, the differences in occupancies, head spacingand valve operation. In 1992 Dallas Fire Protection was bought out by Fireguard Systems and I became the superintendent.
