Responsible for the development, direction and distribution of all aspects of the organization’s marketing and communications. Advance the organization’s brand and creative development to consistently and effectively communicate with both internal and external audiences. Serve as primary administrator and content developer for the organization’s website, social media, digital media, print media, marketing and advertising collateral, and all other publications. Perform a variety of writing, editorial and artistic duties for publications, digital communications, professional articles, fundraising appeals, marketing campaigns, press releases and other organizational needs. Manage budgets, establish deadlines, oversee staff, and coordinate with external vendors and media to execute all publications and communications efforts. Develop and implement public relations strategies for the organization, including media correspondence and crisis management.

Develop, manage and coach functional strength training and Olympic weightlifting programs for a variety of athletes. Provide athletes with an initial assessment, individualized programming and ongoing consultation. Responsibilities include teaching the principles of strength and conditioning, coaching proper technique and execution of the Olympic weightlifting movements, program design and implementation, video analysis and feedback, and goal setting.

Execute integrated content strategies that increase brand awareness and extend marketing and communications initiatives, both short- and long-term. Manage the development and implementation of the editorial calendar and production, ensuring all content meets brand, quality and budgetary goals. Research, develop, write and edit content for different audiences, formats and platforms (e.g., blogs, newsletters, emails, marketing collateral, webpages, videos, infographics, etc.) that is informative, interesting and engaging to both internal and external audiences. Collaborate across functions to deliver effective content, ensure consistency and maximize messaging through the organization's owned media platforms. Oversee and maintain the organization's primary internal communications platforms, with emphasis on driving employee engagement and promoting well-being across a network of more than 8,000 physicians, nurses and staff.

Developed, oversaw and enforced proper brand guidelines. Responsible for writing, editing, design and production of a variety of marketing and promotional materials including print ads, digital ads, annual reports, newsletters, calendars, brochures, billboards and other marketing collateral. Collaborated internally with staff to develop projects for other departments including convention and tourism sales, sports, and administration. Communicated externally with printers and advertising agencies to oversee and manage production of projects.

Instructed students in various topics pertaining to kinesiology, health science, and strength and conditioning. Utilizing both lab and lecture environments, taught students theoretical and practical applications. Course topics included cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength and endurance, body composition, flexibility, nutrition, weight management, periodization, bioenergetics, medical terminology, and sport psychology.

Worked with the head coach to train athletes and teach the principles of strength and conditioning, emphasizing proper technique and execution of the Olympic weightlifting movements. Coached LSUS Weightlifting athletes at local and national competitions as well as worked with LSUS Athletics. Responsibilities included program design and implementation, biomechanical analysis, performance and fitness testing, goal setting, weight room monitoring, and safety protocol. Athletes included youth, high school, collegiate, Paralympic, and Olympic athletes in a variety of sports and disciplines.

Designed and produced bi-weekly and monthly magazines that circulate throughout Northwest Louisiana. Worked strict deadlines to finish publications by scheduled print time. Worked directly with ad sales department to provide client assessment and design ads for those clients. Managed, created and maintained website activities, including social media, in order to keep a strong, relevant web presence.
