When I moved to Canada I decided to take a short period away from my career to follow my second passion which is snowboarding and teaching. I work for Whistler Kids, teaching 6-12 year olds to snowboard.

For 6 years I ran my own promotions company in my spare time, organising and running club nights. We ran several successful events over the years, coordinating with various partner events, companies and venues. This eventually led to the conception and creation of a very successful European DJ Competition.In its final year we had events running in London, The Midlands and Belgium, with plans to expand further afield in future years. During its time the competition received recognition in several top industry publications and partnered with international brands.From the outset I took complete responsibility for all marketing, PR, social media and operations. As the event grew we took on several people to manage the different areas of the business. In our final year we invested in outsourced Sales to sell our brand, pitching at several leading agencies to achieve sponsorship.In 2009 I decided to put the competition on hold to concentrate on my career. The experience further developed my project management, team leading and business skills.
