I am Daniel Thorp, a business student at UNM Anderson Business School. Over the years, I have actively contributed to my community by volunteering with several organizations, including the Santa Fe Children's Museum, the Santa Fe Presbyterian Hospital, and the Academy for Tech & the Classics (ATC) as a student mentor.In addition, I have been a part of various student clubs, such as the Amnesty International Club, where we raised money to support recently discharged individuals from the NM Penitentiary. As a member of the ATC National Honor Society, I volunteered to clean out Santa Fe arroyos and contributed to Habitat for Humanity. I also served as vice president of the ATC Esports team, leading efforts to raise over $16,000 for the ExtraLife charity organization.My dedication to academics has earned me several prestigious awards, including the Senior Special Award from the American Chemical Society, first place in chemistry at the Northern NM Regional Science Fair, and an endorsement during the 2024 NM Governors STEM Challenge.

  I have worked as a barista where I had to utilize time management skills and work with several team members in order to create the best quality drinks for customers. I also had to engage with customers in a positive and respectful way in order to facilitate a healthy environment so our customers would want to return.
