About Danny T Thompson
I started my first company at the age of 18, and have been building things ever since. Literally building things, as a residential remodeler in San Antonio. While flipping homes as a side-hustle, the bright lights of real estate sales caught my eye, so I closed my remodeling company and built a successful real estate business. After only three years and achieving Top 10 status as a realtor, I took an interesting detour into a role as the Family Minister at my home church, pursuing a growing passion for helping young kids succeed. Then back to real estate, rebuilding a succesful team. Passion for others took me to the training room, and I volunteered at KW Heritage training others. Out of the blue, early 2011, Mark Willis, then CEO of KW called me and asked me to join the KWRI team, working with Gary Keller and Jay Papasan leading the sales and operations side of KW Publishing. Then, after providing operational leadership as Executive Director of Operations at KWRI, my passion for education and empowerment opened the door for me to launch the new nonprofit, KW Kids Can. As the Executive Director, I cast the vision, set the plan, and built the firm foundation for the national organization. In just 2 years, we held strategic events, designed curriculum, built a technology platform enabling us to scale exponentially, and began our quest to inspire young adults to THINK BIG. During that time, I also began formerly coaching real estate agents, becoming a certified MAPS coach. Taking all that I have experienced and adding to that the fantastic training that MAPS provides, I began a career focused on the careers of others. My wife and I eventually left MAPS to start our own coaching company, I AM MORE Performance Coaching.With family needs calling us back to San Antonio in 2017, I am now building another great company. As Vice President and co-owner of Goosehead Insurance Sexton-Thompson Agency, We focus on providing our clients the best information and insurance carriers to be able to make the best choices for their families. We now have 3 locations in San Antonio with another in Houston soon. When I am not at my hill country ranch, I spend my time coaching my team, developing strategic relationships for growth, and, for fun, coaching, teaching and training professional salespeople at real estate and mortgage firms. And for more fun, I just published my book, Seeing Success: A Formula to Absolutely GetWhat You Really, Really, REALLY Want.
