The GSPC promotes understanding of psychology careers around the globe, fosters inclusion in the field, and endorses open science practices. My role as the Membership Committee Chair is to lead the onboarding process for new members and collaborate with the recruitment team to increase membership.

Advocating for policies that benefit kidney transplant recipients and living donors. Working closely with the Foundation as well as local, state, and national lawmakers.

- Disseminated native and didactic English knowledge at La Universidad de Boyacá, a Colombian University, through engaging weekly activities and in-depth lesson plans as a co-professor occupying 1 hour of class for 12 classes and independently leading 4 hours of conversation clubs for students and professors- Collaborated with Universidad de Boyacá PAIDEIA research team to co-author research (see research experience and publications), learning international research techniques, as well as assisting in and attending two psychology classes (clinical and psychopathology) per week- Strengthened my Spanish language skills and cultural awareness through daily conversations with my host family; interacting with students, staff, and faculty; engaging in Spanish discussions at school

- Involved in numerous translational efforts to disseminate Spanish research to English audiences and vice versa, including translating a PAIDEIA Seedbed paper from Spanish to English in order to submit for publication in the United States to expand knowledge- Produced a literature review matrix with over 50 citations in Spanish and English in preparation for an international project to study the cultural differences between self-compassion and self-criticism in Colombia and the United Kingdom, in which I was additionally responsible for coordinating between international researchers

- Allocated Student Activity Fee funds in excess of $1,000,000 to Chartered Student Organizations and designed and established financial directives while constantly striving for inclusivity in breaking down directives so they are understandable and bringing financial resources into one location to decrease historic confusion and miscommunication between organizations, administrators, and this committee- Proposed and developed guidelines for a fund that low-income students could request from in order to cover additional fees- Participated in administrative meetings that discussed confidential university finances as a student representative and served on a committee to select Upper-Class Scholarship recipients

Through the McNair Scholars Program, I have performed research tasks, such as building surveys and analyzing data, for the Cognitive Neuroscience of Stress Lab under the mentorship of PI Dr. Tony Buchanan. I presented the impact of stress on risk-taking behaviors in college students at the end-of-summer research symposium and at the Heartland McNair Conference. My work was also published in the McNair Journal. My McNair Summer Research Internship took place between July and August, but my research with the lab has extended beyond that.

Researcher in Gender Cognitions and Development lab under the mentorship of PI Dr. Kimberly Powlishta. We worked to understand how children view transgender and gender non-conforming peers. I also independently studied the interactions between BMI, personality, and partner preference on a model dating app Qualtrics survey.

- Collaborated with Universities around St. Louis, MO as an intercollegiate council through biweekly meetings to promote peer-to-peer counseling and encourage student housing administrators to train RAs in Mental Health First Aid- Assisted President in all their duties, including planning meetings, setting the direction of the council, and recruiting new members

Building substitute teacher for Saint Louis Public Schools. My role is to fill for teachers at Nahed Chapman New American Academy at Roosevelt High School. I also communicated with students and parents in Spanish.

The Bandana Project is a mental health awareness and suicide prevention campaign that uses backpacks and bandanas to support peers in getting help.- Recruited over 700 students, staff, and faculty and remained in communication with all advocates through emails- Developed training video based on Mental Health First Aid training that explained the project as well as possible scenarios that an advocate may encounter- Directed events that foster education and self-care by overseeing the executive board members and communicating with administrators

Saint Louis Counseling provides professional counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly in various settings, including their 8 offices throughout the St. Louis area as well as several schools through the School Partnership Program.- Assisted staff in ensuring documentation compliance on MedTech through the use of the Data, Analysis, and Plan (DAP) model, as well as learning various types of therapeutic assessments and treatments delivered- Translated informational handouts for parents from English to Spanish and uploaded them to Airtable, which I also organized more generally- Observed group supervision meetings to see the collaborative nature of a counseling center- Contacted several local community mental health agency coordinators to schedule continuing education meetings based on staff interest
