I started operations for the first Alabama franchise for Home Instead Senior Care in Birmingham in 1997. We provide non-medical home care services to senior adults as they age in place, wherever that may be, short or long term: home, hospital, or in a facility. Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) such as personal care, incontinence care, ambulation and transfer assistance, Alzheimer's'​ care, bathing/dressing, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and incidental transportation are some of the non-medical services we provide. Our Core Purpose is: To Enhance the Lives of Seniors and Those Who Love Them. With more than 3 Million hours of service hours provided to many thousands of families in the Birmingham area since 1997, Home Instead's trained, reliable,and responsive CAREGivers are ready to serve the elderly and disabled.

Surepod is the "OnStar" for Senior Citizens:Surepod is a service that gives seniors freedom with security. Seniors gets a small pod (SurePod - http://surepod.com) that they can use to call our emergency call center from anywhere, anytime. Unlike traditional Personal Emergency Response Systems, seniors aren't limited to calling for help from their homes. In addition, we allow caregivers to check in on their seniors' locations using our website, which is linked to the SurePod's on-board GPS. That way, caregivers and emergency personnel can see where those seniors are in case they need assistance.We can help them reduce their risk and provide higher quality services, particularly to active seniors.
