About Dan Pejeroni
Networking expert and consultant to large companies, at the end of the 1980s I had the privilege of being one of the founders of the Internet, working with the most influential people who connected Italy to the Net. With the birth of the World Wide Web in 1992, I developed the first porting of CERN's HTTP server to Unix SystemV. In 1994, understanding that the Web would need to manage rich content, I founded Cyberlogic Communication, a web agency focused on R&D of high-profile portals and web applications. In five years, the company developed solutions for several important customers such as Società Autostrade (the main Italian highways), Banca Popolare di Novara, European Agency (the Nabucco project), AIPA, Net Research. In 1996 for Unisys Corporation, I designed and developed Enterprise Multimedia Management, a revolutionary CMS equipped with advanced tools for the creation and management of multimedia content for the web. With this framework I collaborated with major US Internet Service Providers (Earthlink Network, Pasadena, CA; FortuneCity, New York; The Globe, New York; Lycos, Tripod and Angelfire, Waltham, MA; Xoom, San Francisco, CA; Go2Net, Seattle, WA) to develop an innovative JavaScript application to support their end users in editing personal web content. In 1999, with NetResearch, I designed and developed Fuoricorso, the first Italian portal dedicated to colleges and universities, certainly one of the first "social networks" in the world. In 2013, for CADIT, I designed and developed Intelligo, a massively multilingual ECM (Enterprise Content Management) for the Semantic Web.From 2016 to 2021 I provided consulting services to companies and startups on Digital Transformation, Internet of Things, Big Data and Cybersecurity. As a member of the Internet Society, I am committed to the continuous pursuit of an open, accessible, and secure Internet that empowers individuals, fosters innovation, and strengthens global connectivity. I am passionate about shaping the digital landscape, advocating for the Internet as a powerful tool for social, economic, and cultural progress. I actively participate in technical working groups and committees, contributing to the development of guidelines and best practices in various technological and security domains.
Listed skills include Digital Transformation, Digital Marketing, Big Data, Internet Of Things, and 16 others.
