As an Information Systems Manager for Midwest Acoust-A-Fiber, I hold responsibility for the oversight of company-wide Information Technology. I monitor the IT department performance and conduct KPI analysis, liaising with senior management teams to deliver recommendations for continued improvement. In collaboration with a local IT support firm, I generate a network of backup support, maintaining continued company growth following a temporary downturn and significant employee turnover. My efforts resulted in initial savings of $40,000 and I continue to reduce ongoing support costs while improving quality, primarily through the implementation of a helpdesk ticketing system. Additionally, I managed the Iwatsu PBX phone system and initiated direct dial numbers for each individual. My efforts have driven company collaboration through the introduction of Skype for Business and the implementation of SharePoint team sites. I have advanced efficiency, improving internet speeds and managing the split of two wireless networks into four, enhancing network security, access control and speed, as well as implementing cloud based digital information display screens in plants. I have significantly reduced overall organizational costs, consolidating printing operations to reduce spend by $12K per year and transitioned cell phone accounts, reducing annual bills from $35K to $3K.
