My research focus was to examine various cancer stem cell markers present in oral squamous cell carcinoma and to determine their correlation with patient prognosis and tumor behavior. The objective of this project is to determine if HPV can be used as a pre-surgical determinant for patient prognosis and to aid the ongoing goal of deintensification for oncological therapies.
