Active Nation is a charity that runs a number of leisure centres, gyms and outdoor activity centres across the UK. Its mission is to persuade the nation to be active through increased participation in sport and exercise.My role involves managing and developing all aspects of digital marketing, including websites, social media and graphic design for the group, supporting the individual centres and their campaign teams.I have developed on my advanced technical and analytical skills throughout working here, including Google Tag Manager, Analytics, CRMs and strong SEO techniques to name but a few.

As IT Manager for Lincolnshire Scouts it's my responsibility to oversee digital technology used for Scouting within the county, and ensure that it meets all safeguarding standards.The county is split in to 10 districts, many of whom have their own websites and web editors who i oversee. I help run all aspects of IT across the county, including the set up of new websites and email accounts.I have also developed, maintain and manage the county website www.lincolnshirescouts.org.uk

I'm responsible for the creation, maintenance, and constant development of all websites and online advertising of the Group. Including leading all digital projects within the Marketing team, and liaising with our content editors to ensure pages and course listings are updated correctly.This includes a number of campuses, companies and departments across the Group, such as Deans Sport & Leisure, Newark College, Gainsborough College, Newark Academy, Lincoln UTC and others.I maintain the groups social media presence including Facebook and Twitter, and manage access to the groups websites.I lead on all online campaigns, including emails, landing pages, microsites and mobile apps. All monitored and reported on regularly to ensure ROI, and have good calls to action resulting in strong conversion rates.I‘m responsible for Google Analytics tracking and reports, as well as all online advertising including Facebook Ads and Google Adwords and the budgets to go with them. I've been on many short courses for GA, Adwords and other digital tools, so have good knowledge of these.As part of my role, I also maintain the Marketing Departments own Web Server and play an active front line role in Open Days.

Working as part of the IT team, I was responsible for all software programming and development at the group,I produced many web based programmes to help support the company, including a bespoke intranet system, contractor database and safe partner scheme.I was responsible for all online marketing, ranging from website development to social media advertising.As well as various programming aspects of my role, I also had a key part in all server and network management at the group. Often travelling between all the sites fixing computer, printer, network and server problems.
