Dan Skinner is a Brand Content and Communications Manager at Conagra Brands, overseeing content, earned media relations and influencer partnerships. Skinner has been a member of the Conagra team since September 2010, leading award-winning campaigns for Slim Jim, Hunt’s, Chef Boyardee and Hebrew National.Prior to Conagra, Skinner was a VP with the PR agency Zeno Group, beginning as a Senior Account Supervisor in March 2006. Skinner's clients at Zeno included Sears, Craftsman and Pizza Hut. In addition to his client work, Skinner spearheaded the development of Zeno Group's social media presence, and provided social media counsel to external clients. Skinner spent 5 ½ years at Weber Shandwick in Chicago, where he rose from the ranks of Account Executive to Group Manager. Skinner served as the leader for the “got milk?” campaign’s teen-focused outreach, overseeing a partnership between “got milk?” and the National Basketball Association. In 2004 Skinner was honored with the “Bulldog of the Year” award, recognizing the Chicago office’s top media relations specialist. Skinner began his career with the media relations department at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, where his work as a sports associate included arranging interviews and media appearances for Tiger Woods, Greg Maddux and Mickey Mouse.Skinner graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 1999. His coursework included a three-month internship with the Lakeland (Florida) Ledger, where he wrote nearly 40 articles over an eight-week span, including two front-page features.Beyond his day-to-day work, Skinner is a volunteer with the Northwestern Alumni Association's Mentoring Committee, as well as the NU For Life program, which provides professional guidance to the University's student-athletes.
