Hello! I'm Dan, an experienced Creative Leader for visitor attractions and Voice Over Artist, Actor with a Northern British / "Geordie" accent. I currently hold the post of Director of Astronomy and Science Communication at the Kielder Observatory in Northumberland, one of the UK's most active astronomy outreach organisations and visitor attractions. My role involves overseeing the organisation and development of over 700 astronomy events and activities a year, both onsite and across the UK, as well as daily operations of a visitor attraction in a remote and unique location. I also deliver public presentations on the topic as part of my job role. Through my other work you may have heard me on TV, Radio, Online or in the Cinema through some of my work with for Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sky One, Hard Rock Cafe, NHS or Amazon, or heard me on various BBC channels. I also feature in video games with such as EA & Sega in a rage of AAA and Indie titles. You may also know me as the voice of Britain’s Got Talent Winner and stand up comedian Lost Voice Guy, or seen me on the tele talking about space.My career path has taken many twists and turns and often result in me working numerous roles at once although I have particularly flourished in creative roles, whether that be strategic and marketing, or writing, production and development. I am very proud to say that I have had some incredible experiences with my creative visions, and some great failures at that, but as Walt says, "there is no success without failure", and the lessons I have learned from that have been invaluable.
