I also just finished two years of service as Chair of the National Science Board (NSB), which provides oversight for the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and science and technology advice to the White House and Congress.I previously served as Utah's Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs (aka Provost). I work on science and technology policy, with particular emphasis on high-performance computing, big data, and edge networks.
