Designed and supervised assembly of large AC induction machines for the petrochemical, nuclear and mining industries. I was specifically responsible for shaft manufacture and quality control, as well as the welding department. I worked closely with quality control and the welding supervisor to develop procedures and monitor adherence.

I was responsible for Preventative Maintenance, Brazing, Welding, Stamping, assembly production and Machining departments. I worked closely with the maintenance department to improve the induction welding machines and procedures.

Worked on Green Building and renewable energy projects in the Middle East. Effectively communicated with some of the largest corporations in the Arab region to accelerate the uptake of sustainable practices, from waste reduction to designing new “green” corporate offices.

As Project Manager I co-led a team of 40 undergraduate engineering and business students through the research, design and construction of a solar powered electric vehicle. I oversaw the development of vehicle systems, fundraising, and logistics planning for the 2007 World Solar Challenge, a 3200 km race across the Australian Outback.
