Volunteer elected position on the Sonoma County Winegrape Commission, representing over 60,000 acres of wine grapes in Sonoma and Marin Counties.The Sonoma County Winegrape Commission was established in 2006 as a non-profit marketing and educational organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Sonoma County as one of the world’s premier grape growing regions. With more than 1,800 growers, SCWC’s goal is to increase awareness and recognition of the quality and diversity of Sonoma County’s grapes and wines through dynamic marketing and educational programs targeted to wine consumers around the world.

Oversee daily operations on 1,500+ acres of vineyards on California's North Coast. Serving Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake, Marin, and Napa Counties. I oversee all irrigation, nutrition, pest control, and general viticulture for all regions of production. Perform regular winery client and consultant meetings ensuring complete quality control in all aspects of vineyard management. Overseeing a talented group of managers, ensuring the upmost quality delivered to clients region-wide.

Directly reporting to the owner of the company, I ran all aspects of production for the Trattore wine label and sister olive oil company. Worked with famed consulting winemaker Kerry Damskey to craft small lot, single block wines from the estate in Dry Creek Valley. Varietals made included: Grenache, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. Mourvedre and Syrah are also produced for blending wines. Supply chain management of vendors ranging from corks and glass to vineyard pesticides fell under my responsibilities as well. Complete farming management of the 40 acres of vineyards and olive orchards, using our own equipment and coordination with an outside labor contractor. I was also responsible for meeting with a small handful of outside wineries to ensure quality is being met in their contracted vineyard blocks. Often participated in sales and marketing events, to promote our wines and olive oils to consumers. During November and December, focuses switched to olive oil production. Managed over 150 tons of annual olive crushing with our Pieralisi olive mill. This included approximately 55 tons of estate and contracted olives and 100+ tons of custom olive crushing for as many as 50 different clients on good years. Managed all racking, blending, and bottling of olive oils after harvest. Acted as project manager for a new 10,000 case winery facility on the estate in Dry Creek Valley. Coordinated engineers, architects, contractors and the County of Sonoma for final project build-out. Also tasked, along with the consulting winemaker, with design and build out of the winemaking facility.

Oversee daily operations on 800+ acres of vineyards in Mendocino, Lake, Sonoma, and Marin counties on California's North Coast. Crew labor relations and OSHA compliance rounded out my overall duties.
