Daniel Roy is Research Director and CIFAR Canada AI Chair at the Vector Institute, as well as Full Professor of Statistics at the University of Toronto, with a cross-appointment in the Department of Computer Science. Roy's research is focused on the foundational principles underlying prediction, inference, and decision making under uncertainty. This focus on foundations ties together his work, which span machine learning, statistics, mathematical logic, applied probability, and computer science.
