As start-up Executive Director for the reimagining of IHDF-MKE with a bold new approach to service, I work to provide the vision, leadership, and focused enthusiasm to establish IHDF-MKE as a strong, stable, and meaningful support for our "Dreamers" and their families.Mission:To empower students from historically marginalized communities to thrive at school, at home, and in the community by providing individualized social, emotional, academic, and family support from first grade to first job, along with guaranteed post-secondary tuition assistance. Vision:Our dream is a world where every child has equal access to the educational and career opportunities that will ignite their innate potential.National Impact:Founded in 1981 by Eugene Lang, IHDF began with one class in East Harlem, now impacting over 20,000 students in nine states and New Zealand. It supports students from elementary to post-secondary education, with graduates achieving bachelor's degrees at triple the rate of their peers.Our Approach:Recognizing the need for robust support, this MKE IHDF pilot launched in 2022-23 in partnership with Milwaukee Academy of Science taking a two-generational (2Gen) approach, providing long-term family support from 1st grade through post-secondary education and into first job.Dreamers engage in in-school and out-of-school programs for academic and social-emotional learning and development facilitated by IHDF partners and staff. Scholarships for post-secondary education have been established for our Dreamers and are growing. Committees comprised of regional experts and connectors focused on family stability, health and wellness, and youth enrichment are assembled and are actively helping us to help our youth and families to overcome hurdles to their thriving.

Org. Mission: To bring out the limitless potential in young leaders through extraordinary experiences and nurturing relationships. Responsibilities: Visionary leader, culture cultivator, team developer, resource wrangler, and primary public-facing organization representative. Succeeding the founder as the organization’s second Executive Director, I held responsibility for strategic planning, operational oversight, board management, the cultivation and oversight of a $3 million+ operating budget, and led a team of 15 full-time and as many as 100 seasonal and part-time staffers.
